Sharon Hanek

is an accountant turned public policy researcher as a result of her concerns over education and land rights issues.  Over the past 20 years, she has watched the systems of education, environmentalism, and property rights issues change due to laws and regulations and now helps citizens become more effective in their actions.  Sharon established Research Mom consulting to provide public policy research to legislators and citizens as well conduct citizen training workshops on how to navigate legislation effectively.

Dick Bergeron

has been defending rural private property rights for over 20 years. He fought on the side of farmers and property owners in California, and in Florida during the Sawgrass Rebellion of 2002. Dick serves as an Advisory Board Member of the Olympic Stewardship Foundation of Jefferson County, is President of Chimacum Grange and Chair of the Small Ag Producer Caucus. He currently resides in Jefferson County where he represents rural property owners on two Watershed Councils.

Norman MacLeod

A native from Vermont, Norman MacLeod received a forestry degree before entering the Air Force.  His experiences led him to launch Gaelic Wolf Consulting a service that combines science and public policy specializing in natural resource issues. Recently Norman played a key role as founder of the Environmental Sciences Independent Peer Review Institute and passed a first-of-its-kind scientific integrity legislation in Washington.

Steve Neugebauer

is a licensed geologist/hydrogeologist/engineering geologist with 30 years experience working and developing ecological projects. His company specializes on regulatory compliance and technological development based on sound science. He conducts professional workshops on code enforcement and critical areas.

Ed Kilduff

is a licensed geologist/hydrogeologist/engineering geologist in Washington and California.  He has spent over 20 years working on environmental and geological projects resolving technically challenging environmental problems for the U.S. Navy and the Department of Energy.  He holds degrees from Tufts University, the Colorado School of Mines, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  Since moving to the San Juan County, Ed now contributes his scientific expertise to the development of the Island County Growth Management Act and Shoreline Management Act Shoreline Master Program by making recommendations on Best Available Science.

Daniel McMonagle

is a Seattle trial attorney with over thirty-years experience resolving complex construction disputes.  He is a graduate of West Point and has Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Washington. He has taken a keen interest in storm water issues and developed a toolbox of legal remedies to fix problems relating to storm water pollution.  An expert in the Clean Water Act, Mr McMonagle helps citizens navigate the laws regarding landowner’s property fights associated with water such as the common enemy doctrine, water trespass, nuisance and prescriptive rights.
